My wife and I had seen an article in the Herald Newspaper about Joe Kash and the services he offers people in South Jersey. After the worries we had the last few winters about our shore home, we decided to meet with Joe. House watching was a new concept to us but we wanted more information. Joe sat down with us, listed some of the things he could do for us as well as what he was not able to do. We didn't want to hire a full Property Management firm, with all the fees and charges involved. After that first meeting, we were sold and hired Housewatching4u on the spot.
We struck up an agreement as to what we wanted done and Joe said he was able to handle our request. It is a relief to us now, having a local person keeping an eye on our summer home. Over time now we have a great relationship and see him as a friend as well. For us, water was our biggest concern. When we saw the Nor'easter storm warning on the news we always worried. Now I can make a call and get a report without the long drive. He checks our place, both inside and out for us & sends me a report. I look at it as a cost of comfort.

I met Joe Kash at the Cape May Court House Library. He was giving a series of talks on both Home Security as well as Personal Security. The talk was very interesting and opened my eyes up to new things. The short version is the shore is not what it was 20 years ago. I still had the mindset of the bungalow owner of the '50's that did not even lock the door. Now I look at my home and the 800-900K value with much more security in mind.
We had him come out for a home security survey and ended up that we hired him for his house watching services. In the past we asked the police to do it, but as Joe pointed out, that has flaws. He was a police officer for 26 years and done many a home check. As long as the doors and windows are locked, no signs of break-in, the home is listed as secure. Did a bad guy get in & lock the door behind him? Did my roof have some wind damage and now there is a leak that is still small at this point? Is there a problem with the heater? There are a 100 things Joe pointed out that could be a problem, yet an outside inspection shows the home is secure. I even felt better having his "Housewatching 4 u" sign on my property. Just makes the burglar think a little more. We are pleased with his services.

We are one part of a tri-plex ownership we own in Wildwood Crest. Joe has saved us a lot of mileage on our cars. Each owner is about a 2 hr. drive away from our seasonal home. In the past we were all making trips back and forth before we discovered Housewatching4u. We met with him and struck up a deal where he checks on all three of the units for us. He has also taken over a lot of the light maintenance for the building and we now have him working year round in different roles.
Any time there is a problem, he takes a picture and emails it to the owner as soon as it is found, not months later. Now he even sets up our fire inspections, re-certs all the fire extinguishers, changes the batteries and all the little odds and ends for us. He keeps to his slogan ...Let me be your eyes and ears at the shore while you are away.
Another big thing I want to point out. We seem to find it a problem in general with contractors in Cape May. They all promise they will be out at so and so time, but never show up. Every time we have made an appointment with Joe, he shows up at the correct time.
